Musée Lenine

The quiet residential building at four rue Marie-Rose served as the Parisian home of Vladimir Lenin, his wife Nadezhda Krupskaya, and her mother from nineteen hundred and nine to nineteen hundred and twelve. During these years, Lenin lived a discreet life in the French capital, often spending his time cycling to the National Library or working in this modest fifty-nine square meter apartment. The French Communist Party later acquired the space and transformed it into a biographical museum that remained open to the public for over half a century. Visitors once came here to see the rooms arranged as they were during the Bolshevik leader's exile, maintaining a preserved slice of revolutionary history within a typical Parisian apartment block.
