Khotachi Wadi Church

religious

The Saint Sebastian Oratory stands in the center of the Khotachi Wadi neighborhood, defined by its crisp white exterior and a sharp, red tiled roof. Built in nineteen twenty-one, the structure emerged when the local East Indian community needed a place to house a statue of Saint Sebastian during a plague outbreak. The chapel served as a sanctuary for the neighborhood, and families still gather here for annual feasts that fill the narrow lanes with music and processions.
