Haft Tanan Museum

The Haft Tanan museum features a series of tall, arched alcoves decorated with vibrant paintings of Persian figures and legends. Seven unmarked graves of dervishes lie beneath the soil, giving the site its name, which translates to Seven Bodies. Karim Khan Zand ordered the construction of this garden pavilion in the eighteenth century to honor these holy men. He often visited the grounds to seek counsel and prayer. The walls still display his collection of murals depicting historical scenes and mythological heroes from long ago.
