Bagh-e Melli

Bagh-e Melli is defined by its arched gateway, where elaborate tile work depicts scenes of ancient Persian royalty and hunting parties in deep blues and yellows. Once a private garden during the Qajar era, the site became a public park in the nineteen twenties. During its transformation, officials ordered the destruction of several original structures to clear space for formal landscaping. Today, the garden hosts a collection of historic stone inscriptions salvaged from various archaeological sites across the Fars province, scattered along its shaded pathways.
