Ahmadi Book Store

other

The Ahmadi Book Store occupies a narrow, wood-paneled shop in the Zandieh district. It features a stack of hand-printed maps and photographs from the late nineteenth century displayed behind glass. When Gholamhossein Ahmadi opened the shop in the nineteen thirties, he focused on publishing local history and cultural texts. His son, Mohammad Reza, continues that work today. The shop holds a collection of original lithographs that detail the architecture of Shiraz, showing streets and shrines that vanished during the city's modern expansion.
