Roqani Caravanserai

The Roqani Caravanserai sits near the Nasir al-Mulk Mosque with a facade of intricate, exposed brickwork that distinguishes it from the surrounding plaster walls. Merchants once gathered here to trade goods like silk and spices, using its courtyard as a secure stopover on the trade routes through Shiraz. During the Qajar era, the structure served as a hub for local commerce. A merchant named Haji Mirza Hasan Roqani commissioned its expansion to accommodate the increasing number of travelers arriving in the city.
