Salón París

The Salón París features a bright, mustard-yellow facade capped by a heavy, ornate stone cornice that cuts a sharp silhouette against the Santa María la Ribera skyline. Built in the early twentieth century, this structure served as a hub for the neighborhood’s lively dance culture. Couples once gathered inside to sway to danzón orchestras under the high ceilings. Today, the building houses a local laundry, its rhythmic mechanical spinning replacing the music that defined the building for generations of dancers.
