The Parroquia Josefina de la Sagrada Familia holds a distinct profile with its sharp, neo-gothic spires rising abruptly above the surrounding residential streets of Santa María la Ribera. The building serves the Congregation of the Oblates of Saint Joseph, who arrived in Mexico during the early twentieth century. Father José María Vilaseca, the founder, established this site to anchor his religious mission within a growing neighborhood. The stonework of the facade remains unfinished, leaving a stark, grey silhouette against the sky.
