The Kamienica pod Złotym Słońcem features a heavy, ornate golden sun emblem mounted directly above the arched stone doorway. This building on the corner of the Rynek served as the private residence for the influential Heinrich Rybisch in the sixteen hundreds. Rybisch filled the interior with an extensive collection of ancient coins and natural curiosities, transforming his home into one of the city’s most famous private museums. The gold sun still marks the entrance where he once welcomed guests to view his cabinets.
