The Stimbo AG building in Zermatt sits apart from the typical wooden chalets of the village, defined by its flat roof and boxy, industrial silhouette. Zermatt banned gasoline-powered cars in the nineteen sixties to protect the air, forcing the village to rely on electric transport. Stimbo AG built the fleet of utilitarian, yellow, flatbed electric vehicles that move cargo, luggage, and groceries through the narrow, car-free streets. They kept the entire village running while most of the world leaned on combustion engines.
