The Stanley Kubrick Archive occupies a specialized, temperature-controlled wing within the London College of Communication. This facility serves as a repository for millions of items that document the entire career of the director, from his early days as a teenage photographer for Look Magazine to his final film, Eyes Wide Shut. Kubrick possessed a reputation for an obsessive level of control over every aspect of his productions, and he stored the resulting records, research materials, and props at his home in Hertfordshire for decades. Following his death, his family donated this massive collection to the University of the Arts London to ensure his working methods remained available to future filmmakers and scholars.
