Honourable Artillery Company Museum

The Honourable Artillery Company is the oldest regiment in the British Army, tracing its origins to a royal charter granted by King Henry the Eighth in fifteen thirty-seven. At that time, the term artillery did not refer to cannons, but rather to all projectile weapons, including longbows, crossbows, and handguns. This guild was formed to ensure the defense of the realm and to promote the mastery of these weapons among citizens. While the company is now a modern reserve unit focused on surveillance and intelligence, its historical commitment to training remains a core part of its identity.
