Prince of Teck, Earl's Court

The Prince of Teck public house stands as a prominent Victorian landmark on Earls Court Road, having served the neighborhood since 1868. If you look up at the roofline, you will notice four stone wyverns perched at the corners. These heraldic creatures were added during a renovation between 1879 and 1881, along with intricate stone busts that watch over the street below. These architectural flourishes were commissioned by a local developer and publican who favored the flamboyant designs of the architect George Edwards.
