Banksy's Elephants

landmark

The two elephants painted on the side of this house in Chelsea represent a striking piece of urban art that appeared in August of twenty twenty-four. The mural depicts two elephants, each peering out from its own blocked-up window, reaching their trunks toward one another in a gesture of connection. One of the elephants possesses a tusk, while the other does not, a detail that has led many to interpret the work as a commentary on a generational divide or the nature of familial bonds.
