Chelsea Old Town Hall

Chelsea Old Town Hall on the King's Road is a layered architectural puzzle rather than a single building. What you see from the street is a grand neoclassical frontage completed in 1908 by the architect Leonard Stokes, but hidden behind it lies the much older Brydon building from 1886. This original core, known as the Old Vestry Hall, was kept when the newer wing was added, meaning the rear of the complex still holds the Victorian heart of the original municipal center.
