The Moravian Burial Ground in Chelsea is known to the congregation as God's Acre. This quiet plot of land was established in seventeen fifty-one on what were once the stables of Beaufort House, an estate formerly owned by Sir Thomas More. The burial ground is enclosed by historic Tudor brick walls that date back to More's time in the sixteenth century.
