Park Square

Park Square serves as a grand, architectural vestibule designed to transition travelers from the dense city streets into the expansive greenery of Regents Park. Built between eighteen twenty-three and eighteen twenty-four, the square features two opposing rows of classically styled, stucco-fronted terrace houses. Architect John Nash meticulously planned these buildings to function as a unified, harmonic whole, using a signature colonnade of consecutive porticos to create a sense of formal majesty. The space acts not merely as a residential row, but as a deliberate framing device for the landscape beyond.
