De Vere Mews is a secluded, gated cul-de-sac that serves as a quiet contrast to the busy streets of Kensington. While you walk toward its entrance off Canning Place, you are approaching a site that was once the functional backbone of the grand houses facing De Vere Gardens. Built in the late nineteenth century, these structures were originally designed as stable and coach house accommodation, where horses and carriages were kept on the ground level and staff lived in quarters above.
