Burgess Park Lake

Burgess Park Lake sits on land that was once a dense grid of Victorian homes, industrial factories, and the bustling Grand Surrey Canal. This entire landscape was transformed in the decades following the Second World War as part of a massive urban redevelopment project intended to carve a green lung out of the heavily bombed city.
