The Randolph Hotel Oxford, a Graduate by Hilton

other

The Randolph Hotel features a jagged, neo-Gothic roofline covered in ornate stone carvings that stands out against the flatter facades of Beaumont Street. It opened in eighteen sixty-six as the first grand hotel in Oxford, built specifically to house visitors who had previously struggled to find decent lodging in the college town. During the nineteen seventies, the building became the primary setting for the Inspector Morse television series, where the detective often sat in the bar to solve his most difficult cases.
