The Jericho Wharf Trust occupies the site of the former Lucy and Company ironworks, marked by a rusted, gated entrance that holds the memory of industrial Oxford. This land sits between the Oxford Canal and the residential streets of Jericho, long serving as the engine room for the neighborhood. When the factory closed in nineteen eighty-four, the buildings were leveled, leaving an empty expanse that has defined local debates for forty years. It remains the last major undeveloped waterfront plot in the city center.
