Marina District Lighthouse

The Marina District Lighthouse is an unusual structure that intentionally looks older than it is. Constructed in 1931, it was designed to resemble a Roman military watchtower, drawing inspiration from ancient fortifications built along the Mediterranean during the Punic Wars. Rather than being a traditional aid to navigation for ocean-going vessels, it was created as a beacon for pleasure boaters entering the local yacht harbor.
