Terry Point

Terry Point is not a recognized public landmark or geographic site within the Marina District of San Francisco. The shoreline in this area is defined by the Marina Green, the yacht harbor, and the nearby jetty that houses the Wave Organ, a sonic sculpture built from repurposed cemetery granite and concrete. The land you are walking on was famously created as a massive landfill project to host the nineteen fifteen Panama Pacific International Exposition. Before that transformation, the area was largely marshland and shallow tidal water. Today, the district remains one of the most distinctive examples of reclaimed land in the city.
