The Creativity Theater sits uniquely atop the Moscone Convention Center in the heart of the Yerba Buena neighborhood. It functions as a core part of the Children's Creativity Museum, which opened its doors in nineteen ninety-eight under the original name of Zeum. The venue was constructed as a intentional piece of a massive eighty-seven-acre urban renewal project designed to revitalize the South of Market area. Its existence reflects a city-wide commitment to integrating cultural spaces directly into the structural fabric of major development projects.
