The Park Central Hotel features a rounded, corner facade finished in smooth, white stucco, accented by horizontal bands of blue neon. Architect Henry Hohauser designed the building in nineteen thirty-seven, placing it at the heart of the Art Deco District. It served as a hub for the glamour of mid-century Miami, attracting Hollywood stars and high-society travelers. During the Second World War, the military took over the property, housing soldiers in these same rooms while they trained for service overseas.
