Built in nineteen thirty-nine, the building stands as a defining example of the Streamline Moderne style, which took inspiration from the sleek aesthetics of aviation and locomotives. Before the colorful neon signs took over, architect Henry Hohauser designed this space to emphasize smooth curves and horizontal lines, creating a visual rhythm that contrasts against the rectangular apartment blocks nearby.
