Waldorf Towers South Beach

The Waldorf Towers Hotel wears a distinct, bright blue facade with a prominent central tower that stretches toward the Atlantic. Built in nineteen thirty-seven, the structure serves as a prime example of the Streamline Moderne style, which favored smooth curves and nautical elements over heavy ornamentation. During the late thirties, architect Albert Anis designed this building to capture the spirit of ocean liners. Its rounded corners and sleek horizontal lines continue to draw eyes along Ocean Drive even decades after its debut.
