Donnelly Memorial Park

Donnelly Memorial Park is named for Thomas M. Donnelly, a prominent leader of the Foresters of America who lived from eighteen sixty-two to nineteen thirty-seven. He earned a reputation as an idealist who worked to protect the Palisades, the dramatic cliffs that define this stretch of the Hudson River. His memory is honored here by a monument erected in nineteen thirty-eight, just a year after his death, which stands as a reminder of his dedication to preserving the natural landscape you see before you.
