Anya and Andrew Shiva Gallery

museum

The Anya and Andrew Shiva Gallery opened in 2013 on the ground floor of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice building. It occupies a four-thousand-square-foot space that features a flexible, movable wall system allowing the entire interior to be reconfigured or cleared completely for different exhibitions. The gallery was established following the largest single donation in the history of the college, provided by alumnus and forensic psychologist Andrew Shiva and his wife, Anya. While the space functions as a fine art venue, it is intentionally designed to serve as an interdisciplinary resource for students and faculty, focusing its programming on themes of social justice, human rights, and the humanities.
