Completed in 1931, the building stands as a masterpiece of the Art Deco era, characterized by its dramatic setbacks and futuristic, rocket-like pinnacles that reach toward the sky. Its facade is a study in geometric elegance, featuring stylized brick spandrel panels and angular balconies that showcase the creative ambition of its architects, Margon and Holder, with the renowned Emery Roth serving as a consultant. These distinctive towers were made possible by updated zoning laws of the time, which encouraged tall, slender designs that allowed light to reach the streets below.
