The Art Africa Sculpture Park features rows of life-sized bronze elephants and figures that appear to graze among the native trees. It serves as an open-air gallery for Zimbabwean sculptors who work primarily in stone and metal. Dominic Benhura, a prominent artist whose work is represented here, helped shape the space to showcase the heavy, tactile traditions of Shona sculpture. Visitors often find the contrast between the metal statues and the wild, unmanicured bushland the most striking aspect of the park.
