The Patrick Mavros studio features a white colonial-style building surrounded by an indigenous garden filled with aloes and cycads. Patrick Mavros began his career here in the nineteen eighties, carving a single pair of ivory earrings for his wife, Catja. Word of his craftsmanship spread through the small community, and he soon expanded into sculpting wildlife in silver. The studio remains the primary workshop where artisans cast and polish pieces today, keeping the original family casting methods alive in the bush.
