This ground serves as the primary sports hub for the residents of the Chinotimba township. During the liberation struggle of the nineteen seventies, the area around these stands acted as a gathering point for local activists who held secret meetings under the cover of night. Today, the pitch hosts community soccer matches where the goalposts often stand without nets, yet the matches draw passionate crowds.
