Square Lionel-Assouad

The Square Lionel-Assouad is a patch of green tucked behind high stone walls, marked by a wrought iron gate and a bronze plaque bearing a name that honors a man who died in the nineteen forty-four liberation of Paris. Before it became this quiet neighborhood park, the land belonged to a private estate and later served as part of a series of utility yards. Today, the space contains rows of benches and a gravel path shaded by mature chestnut trees.
