Ancienne gare d'Ouest Ceinture

historic

The Ancienne gare d’Ouest Ceinture sits as a small, stone-walled structure tucked along the rail tracks of the former Petite Ceinture. This station once served a circular railway line that moved freight and passengers around Paris during the late nineteenth century. In eighteen eighty-nine, while the world turned its eyes to the nearby Exposition Universelle and the rising Eiffel Tower, the commuters using this platform saw only the gray smoke of coal engines and the bustle of city laborers heading to the suburbs.
