Hommage à Clarissa

The mosaic mural titled Hommage à Clarissa covers a large wall in Petit Vanves, featuring a portrait of Clarissa Jean-Philippe. She was a municipal police officer from Martinique, killed during the January two thousand fifteen terrorist attacks in Paris. Artist Dugudus created the piece to honor her memory, incorporating vibrant colors and floral patterns that stand out against the urban gray. The mural keeps her face visible in the neighborhood where she served, grounding a public tragedy in a specific, local life.
