The Parc et Allées Jean Jaurès features a long, straight pedestrian promenade lined with rows of mature trees. This green axis cuts through the middle of the neighborhood, occupying the path of an old freight railway line that once served the industrial plants of Montrouge. Workers hauled materials along these tracks until the mid-twentieth century. Today, the gravel paths and benches sit where steam engines passed, turned into a public corridor that connects the town from end to end.
