Square Jean Moulin features a bronze statue of the French Resistance leader himself, standing firmly in the center of a small, triangular park. Jean Moulin unified the fragmented resistance movements during the German occupation of France in the second world war. He eventually died on a train while being transported to Germany after being captured and tortured by the Gestapo. This modest green space keeps his name and his work as a coordinator of the clandestine struggle central to this neighborhood.
