Saint-Vincent Cemetery

Saint-Vincent Cemetery opened on January 5, 1831, created specifically to handle the overflow from the nearby Calvary Cemetery. It is the smallest of the three cemeteries in Montmartre, spanning less than one and a half acres. The site was intentionally chosen for its location on the hillside, and it bears the name of the patron saint of winemakers. This title is fitting, as the cemetery sits directly adjacent to the historic Montmartre vineyards.
