Tour Cristal / The Circle

landmark

The tower in front of you, now known as The Circle, represents a significant chapter in the architecture of the Front de Seine district. When it was originally completed in 1990 as the Tour Cristal, it stood as the final skyscraper to be constructed within this specific area of central Paris. Its design originally drew inspiration from the light studies of the painter Salvador Dali, which dictated the unique, angular glass surfaces of its exterior. The building has spent decades as a shimmering landmark, designed to catch and reflect sunlight across the riverbank throughout the day.
