The Porte de Sèvres in Paris is a monument to a forgotten entrance. It originally stood as a grand gateway for the Pavillon des Manufactures Françaises at the 1900 Exposition Universelle. Rather than being lost when that massive fair ended, this vibrant ceramic arch was dismantled and reassembled in its current home. It stands as a rare surviving piece of the Belle Époque, showcasing the intricate glazed stoneware that defined the artistic ambition of the turn of the century.
