The French Playing Card Museum

museum

The French Playing Card Museum stands on the historic grounds of the former Chateau d Issy, which was once the residence of the powerful Princes of Conti. While the museum building itself is a modern structure designed by architect Philippe Jean, it remains physically and symbolically connected to the past through a footbridge leading to the original seventeenth-century gatehouse. This pavilion today serves as a gallery dedicated to the history of the city, keeping the legacy of the former noble estate alive alongside the collection of cards housed in the newer wing.
