Jardin japonais d'Ichikawa

The Ichikawa Japanese Garden features a large, stone lantern carved from a single piece of granite that anchors the quiet pond area. This garden arrived in Issy-les-Moulineaux as a gift from the Japanese city of Ichikawa in two thousand and eight. It celebrates the sister city relationship between the two towns, marking the twenty-fifth anniversary of their partnership. The layout follows the principles of traditional strolling gardens, using carefully placed rocks, water, and manicured pines to create a deliberate, unchanging landscape.
