The Font-de-l'Ancien-Château stands as a weathered stone basin at the edge of the park. It survived the fire that destroyed the Château des Princes de Conti in eighteen seventy-one. While the grand residence fell to the chaos of the Franco-Prussian War, this fountain remained in the overgrown garden. Local residents once relied on its water for their daily chores, but it serves now as a quiet marker of the estate that occupied this hillside for two centuries before vanishing.
