Square Jean Guillon

Square Jean Guillon sits behind a tall iron fence, distinguished by the dense canopy of mature trees that hang over the sidewalk. It occupies the site of the former Villa Guillon, the grand home of a wealthy local industrialist. In nineteen sixty-nine, the city acquired the property and tore down the villa to open this public green space. Today, the park keeps the name of the man who once lived there, while local children play where his private gardens stood.
