Pierre de Coubertin Park

The Stade Pierre de Coubertin stands as the first covered stadium ever constructed in France. Built specifically for the nineteen thirty-seven Universal Exposition in Paris, the structure was designed to showcase the era's innovative use of glass and brick, creating an aesthetic typical of Art Deco architecture. Though it was forced to close and undergo major repairs following bombing damage during the Second World War, it was rebuilt in the late nineteen forties to reclaim its position as the premier indoor sports venue in the region.
