Vieux panneau Boulogne-Billancourt

The old street sign in the Les Princes Marmottan district hangs as a small, rectangular relic of the nineteenth century. Painted on iron in fading blue and white, it bears the name of a road long since swallowed by urban expansion. This specific sign stayed in place even as the city rebuilt itself around it, marking a boundary where the countryside of Boulogne once met the encroaching reach of Paris. It remains the last vestige of the neighborhood’s original mapping before the industrial transformation.
