The Hotel Mezzara features a sweeping, curved facade of white stone and an abundance of iron-wrought balconies that distinguish it from the standard residential blocks nearby. Designed by architect Hector Guimard in nineteen ten, the mansion served as a personal residence for textile manufacturer Paul Mezzara. Guimard filled the interior with custom furniture and organic, whiplash-style details that define the Art Nouveau movement. Mezzara later used the grand dining room to host gatherings for his circle of artists, writers, and fellow designers.
