The Villa Jeanneret stands out for its stark, white, boxy geometry, a sharp contrast to the ornate stone facades lining the rest of Square Doctor Blanche. Designed by Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret in nineteen twenty-three, the house served as a laboratory for the architects to refine their concepts of modern living. Albert Jeanneret, the brother of Le Corbusier, moved into this residence. He filled the interior with music, turning the strictly functional design into a home for his violin studio.
