The Porte de Saint Cloud is defined by two massive, identical Art Deco pavilions constructed from reinforced concrete and stone. These structures mark the former entrance to Paris, where the city wall once stood. Architect Paul Bigot designed them in the nineteen thirties to manage the flow of traffic coming from the western suburbs. The Square Roger Coquoin garden sits tucked between the busy traffic arteries, offering a quiet, manicured space that hides the roar of the surrounding intersection behind dense rows of trees.
